Architecture Culture and History 2 is a continuation of the investigation of architecture history development that began in Architecture Culture & History 1. The teaching objectives are to broaden our knowledge on architectural theory through a consideration of intentions, concepts, patterns, disciplines, architectural language and contextual relationships. Other than that, It helps us to examine a detailed account of the principal developments in the western world from the Industrial Revolution to post-World War 2.
PROJECT 1: PRECEDENT STUDIES
This is a project where we work in a team to study the works of Modern Masters that shaped the Modern Architecture. We analyse visual evidence with specific reference to Modern Masters as precedent studies. we identify specific architectural features in terms of space planning, technology, details, form and the aesthetics of the architecture. The building we analysed is the Barcelona Pavilion by Mies Van Der Rohe, we divided the work and finally compile to come out witha presentation board to represent the pavilion with its features and principles.
