ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN STUDIO 2
PROJECT 1: FAMOUS PEOPLE FAMILIAR FACES DIAGRAMMATIC ABSTRACTION
Before we learn about Architecture and its context and users, we have to learn from our masters. Only when we look at what they did, we can understand more about why are we studying and where we start. This project lets use explore the work of the master of Modern Architecture and their background as well. We are to expose the various concepts behind their masterpiece and my team has chosen the Villa Cook by Le Corbusier. We start by drawing the building itself and explore the plans and elevations of each floor, then we analyze each part to come out with many concepts surrounding the building. We choose the few which is more relevant and present it with sketches and models. The final presentation consist of only models and drawings as the models can speak for itself what concept lies within.

PROJECT 2A: PAVILION @ KUALA SELANGOR NATURE PARK
We had a site visit trip to Kuala Selangor Nature Park and worked as a team to do a site analysis on the forest there. We learn to observe certain factors about the site to help us understand more about the context. After this, we are to work in groups of 2 to design a pavilion for a certain user in the context. This pavilion's form and space is generated through architectural conceptualization with emphasis on exploring the user requirement. We have to think of the spatial organization through different programmes in the pavilion. The pavilion is built for the user to do specific activites as to related to the context too, This relation provides the pavilion with a unique feeling towards the context itself.
PROJECT 2B: RETREAT HOUSE AT KUALA SELANGOR NATURE PARK
Carry on from the pavilion is a retreat house for the user, this retreat house is built near the pavilion. It is a place affording peace, quiet, privacy and security where the user resides for a short period of time. I have a lot of experiments on the spatial planning of this building and also the accesibility due to the constraint of my user, this house have its design and also serves the function needed for the user to fully ultilise the house. The site is very suitable to provide shelter and also privacy for the house. Other than that, the experience that can be seen from the site to the house is one of a kind which gives the house a more promising living quarter for the user. At the end, I am able to find the balance between them and creates a temporary retreat house for my user.
